Ofer is an expert in employment law. He worked and led the employment law department of some of Israel’s leading corporate, securities and employment law firms.
Ofer specializes in matters relating to both individual and collective labor law and employer-employee relationships, and the preparation, examination and updating of individual and collective employment contracts. He is highly experienced in the representation of corporate employers and their senior employees in disputes before the labor courts, arbitration and mediation panels and administrative tribunals.
Ofer also advises clients on the labor law aspects of commercial transactions resulting in a change of control or employer, such as joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, asset purchase and share purchase transactions. In addition, he advises clients regarding confidentiality and non-compete undertakings, and the enforceability of such commitments.
Ofer is a frequent contributor of articles to the Israeli press and regular updates and newsletters to clients on the latest developments in legislation, regulations and court decisions affecting employment law in Israel. Ofer is married with five children, and resides and is a member of Kibbutz Glil-Yam, Israel.
Ofer Dekel graduated from Tel Aviv University School of Law, Tel Aviv, Israel (LL.B. with honors, 1994), and was admitted to the Israeli Bar in 1995.
