Katzenell Dimant is committed to providing the maximum experience of using the site to all surfers, and therefore sought to make the site accessible to people with disabilities, in order to facilitate and streamline browsing.

The adjustment was made mainly for the benefit of those who have difficulty using the mouse and / or typing, and who have visual impairments. Among other things, full keyboard navigation was ensured in all components of the site, support for increased zoom and compliance with the contrast requirements, colors and aspect ratio. The fit was tested with various aids such as screens and various devices, including simulations of screen readers and content reading engines.

The accessibility adjustments on our website were made in accordance with Regulation 35 of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments) 2013, to the Israeli standard TI 5568 based on the 2.0 WCAG level AA guidelines and subject to the changes and adjustments made in the Israeli standard document.

How the site was made accessible

  • Added links at the beginning of the page that allow skipping to the content
  • Defined a clear visual appearance for elements that receive keyboard focus
  • The website menu has been adapted for use with a keyboard
  • The search option on the site has been adapted to be used on a screen and for use with a keyboard.
  • Add textual description to images and icons for assistive technologies
  • There are buttons that allow stopping the carousel of changing images, the carousel of recommendations and stopping the video used as background.
  • Define a hierarchy of headings arranged in pages on the site
  •  
  • ARIA rules have been implemented that help users with assistive technology to understand the content of the site in a more accurate and better way.
